Let me start off by saying that I am not a financial advisor in any way at all! I am just a girl who doesn’t want to spend her life stressed about money. So I thought I would tell you guys, how I manage my money to see if it helps someone else.
One of my biggest things for managing money is creating and following a budget. There are many budgeting apps out there, and if that works for you, wonderful. Personally, I just like to use Google Sheets for my budget.
Another big thing for me is debt. I HATE debt. I hate having to pay things off. Even if it’s a debt that “everyone” has. Nope, I don’t want it. So whenever I do have a debt to pay, I work on paying that off as fast as I can.
Here is the way my budget looks at this season of my life:
Income
Myself
My Husband
Total
Expenses
Fixed expenses
XBOX
Netflix + Peacock
Spotify
Credit card payment
My student loan
Husband’s student loan
Car insurance
Rent
Bluehost
Gospel Encounter
Internet
Bills
Taxes
Water Bill
Electricity
Tithe
Medical
Retirement
Automobile expenses
Gas (house)
Extra
Groceries
Gas (car)
Restaurants
Shopping
Total
Savings (difference between income and expenses)
This is the budget that I use, and I review it every month to see if it is still working for my husband and me. To fill out the numbers in this budget, I take the income that my husband and I make, and I fill in my fixed expenses first, then bills, then extra.

I have heard a lot of people use envelopes with cash in them to prevent overspending. This little budget binder would be perfect for that. If you would like one, click this link to get it on Amazon for less than $10.
