1. Spring Fever by Mary Kay Andrews

My rating: 5/5
A little about it: A divorced couple remains friends because they work in the same business. The book begins with the wedding of Mason Bayless, as he is getting remarried, and his ex-wife is in attendance. This wedding is quite rocky, but that is just the beginning.
Why I liked it: This book got me out of a reading slump this year, and any book that can do that is worth five stars. This book continuously surprised me and kept me on the edge of my seat. It was also heartwarming to read.

2. Dinner on Primrose Hill by Jodi Thomas

My rating: 4.5/5
A little about it: This book tells the story of 3 different pairs of people. Each person met their pair at the beginning of the book, and then their stories are told throughout it. These stories are told separately at first, and then a tragedy brings them all together.
Why I like it: Jodi Thomas did a very good job of writing this book. The storyline is constantly engaging, and there is just the right amount of mystery and romance. The reason it is not a 5 is that, at times, it was hard to follow what was going on because of the different perspectives.

3. The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh

My rating: 4/5
A little about it: A married couple, with a young daughter, is going about their lives like normal, and they are head over heels for each other. She is a marine biologist, and he is an obituary writer. Everything is perfect, a little too perfect. Until one day, he realizes that everything he knew about his wife is a lie.
Why I like it: This book shocked me. Even though I thought I knew what I was getting into, I had no idea. Even along the way, I couldn’t predict what was going to happen next, so I had to just keep reading.

4. The Selection by Kiera Cass

My rating: 4/5
A little about it: The selection is an event where thirty-five girls are chosen to enter the palace, where they compete against one another, and the prize is to be the wife of Prince Maxon. This book is the first in a five-book series. We follow the story of one of these contestants.
Why I like it: I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. I enjoyed reading about the contest and everything. It also led me to buy the other four books and finish the series. I just felt like there was something missing.

5. Beach Read by Emily Henry

My rating: 3.5/5
A little about it: There are two authors, one writes romance and the other writes fiction. They also could not be more different, except for the fact that they live right next to each other. One day, they struck a deal, and the rest is history (that you get to read about).
Why I like it: It is a very easy read, and it is definitely a beach read. I really enjoy the romance in Emily Henry’s books. This was sweet to read.
